What are the benefits?
Prevents grant information from being archived in certain circumstances. For example, exclusion may be needed when there is pending litigation, investigation, or other important issues that have arisen which require information to be readily accessible in the IMPAC II database.
Who can use the AES?
The Archive Exclusion system is restricted to authorized grants management staff at NIH Institutes and Centers (ICs) and NIH Office of Extramural Programs (OEP) staff.
