Grantee or contracting organizations must register in iEdison before they can report inventions and patents. The link to register—Register Institution to use iEdison—is on the home page of the iEdison module, just below the log-in fields.
Registering involves completing a form to provide basic information about the grantee or contracting organization, including its DUNS (Data Universal Number System) number and its Federal funding agreement number. However, an individual inventor, with an approved inventor waiver from the waiving nonprofit organization, does not need a DUNS number to register in iEdison.
iEdison also requires you to provide the name and contact information for an Extramural Technology Transfer Administrator who will manage accounts for the organization, and for a general signatory for the organization. You must also verify the email address associated with the registration request.
