We’ve received some inquiries regarding problems logging into eRA Commons and ASSIST. In nearly all cases, the issues have centered on expired passwords. Our NIH eRA password policy requires passwords to be reset every 120 days. A recent security update forced a subset of our users to need to update their passwords outside of the normal 120 day timeframe.

Since some browser settings retain entered information, it is also advisable to clear your cache.
