The Electronic Council Book Home Page contains a quick search field, council round cards, navigation links to common actions, and links to archived councils.

Council Round rollover

On the following dates, the previous council round is closed, the current round is made primary, and the council round cards are changed.

Quick Search field

Quick Search field

The Quick Search field, located in the upper-right corner of the screen, allows you to search for an application by grant number, PI name, or accession number.

1. Enter the grant number, PI name, or accession number in the Quick Search field.

TIP: If you are searching by accession number, you can search for up to ten (10) applications at a time. Use a comma (,) to separate multiple values.

2. Click the Search button. The Project Search Results screen is displayed.
3. To add the application to a council, click the three-dot ellipsis Actions button three-dot ellipsis button and select Add Council, select the appropriate option from the Council Rounds drop-down, and click the Save button. The application is added to the council.
4. To remove the application from a council, click the three-dot ellipsis button and select Remove Council, then click the Yes button. The application is removed from the council.

The Electronic Council Book Home Page contains four council cards. The current council is listed at the top of the screen. Cards for the two previous councils and the next council are displayed in the second row. Additional historical information can be found in the Archived Councils pane.

The links in the current council round pane on the Home screen provide you with two options: view all projects and view only foreign grants.

Displaying all projects

1. In the current council round pane, click the hyperlinked number for Total Projects.

The Project Search Results screen is displayed. It contains an unfiltered list of all projects for the current council round for your assigned IC.

Displaying Foreign Grants

1. In the current council round pane, click the hyperlinked number for Foreign Grants.

The Project Search Results screen is displayed. It contains a filtered list of all foreign grants for the current council round for your assigned IC.

Council Info

1. Click the Council Info drop-down and select Council Information Page to view the Council Information screen. For more information, refer to the Council Information Page topic.

Searches

1. To begin a new search, click the Searches drop-down and select New Search to view the Search screen. For more information, refer to the Searching for Applications topic.
2. To run a previously saved search, click the Searches drop-down and select the saved search. The Search screen is displayed with the saved search criteria added to the search fields.

Lists/Categories

1. To create a category, click the Lists/Categories drop-down and select Create Category. For more information, refer to the Creating a category topic.
2. To create a document list, click the Lists/Categories drop-down and select Create Document List. For more information, refer to the Document Lists topic.
3. To manage existing lists and categories, click the Lists/Categories drop-down and select Manage Lists/Categories. For more information, refer to the Manage Lists/Categories Screen topic.

Actions

1. To view existing affiliations, click the Actions drop-down and select Conflicts Management. For more information, refer to the Managing Conflicts topic.
2. To view early concurrence panels for the current council round, click the Actions drop-down and select Early Concurrence. For more information, refer to the Early Concurrence Panels screen topic.
3. To view early concurrence panels for the current council round, click the Actions drop-down and select Voting Details. For more information, refer to the Voting Details Screen topic. 00.

Archived Councils

The current council, next council, and the two most recent councils are displayed in the council round cards at the top of the screen. The Archived Councils pane contains historical information about previous council rounds.

Viewing information for an archived council

1. Click the Expand button Expand button to display the Archived Councils pane. A council round card is displayed.
2. Click the Council Rounds dropdown and select the round you wish to view. The council round card is refreshed to contain information and links about the selected round.
