Overview of the Participant Portal
For the LRP Awardee to See Loan Details and Upload Documents
This LRP Participant Portal provides LRP (Loan Repayment Program) awardees with a comprehensive view of their LRP award. The portal displays a listing of loans, past and future payments, and status of service and research verifications (which are performed in a separate portal accessed by their research supervisor) and provides a tool to upload documents regarding updates and changes to their LRP award, which are received by Division of Loan Repayment (DLR) staff.
If you have received an LRP award (making you an "LRP awardee"), you can access the Participant Portal to view details of your loan(s), LRP contract details, payment details, and service and verification status. See Using the LRP Participant Portal for instructions on using the Participant Portal.
Each time an LRP payment is made on your (the awardee's) behalf, the Division of Loan Repayment (DLR) notifies you that a payment was sent to your lender and requires you to complete a payment verification. As an LRP awardee, you will access the Participant Portal to upload required documentation to verify that the LRP payment was successfully posted to your loan account. An account statement is required to be uploaded to verify loan payments.
Payment Verifications are time sensitive and if not completed promptly, might cause subsequent loan repayments to be delayed. Upon receipt of your payment verification, DLR processes your uploaded documentation, notifies you if additional loan information is required or if the payment verification is complete. The LRP repayment process cycle begins again after all the required payment and service verifications are completed.
Typically, awardees can verify a payment by submitting a screenshot or printout of the account statement to DLR. To satisfy the payment verification requirement, the document must contain the following information:

Posting date of LRP payment

LRP payment amount

Current loan balance or payoff amount

Loan type (e.g., Stafford, Perkins, etc.)
