Critique Submission Status (Second Section)

The Critique Submission Status section of the Meeting Dashboard shows progress made by each reviewer in completing online critiques. You can also view the progress for each application. The information is more detailed and specific than in the top section of the dashboard. This section shows only the submission status and whether there are unsubmitted drafts; for more detailed information, such as missing key information, view the third section, Critique Tracking Status.

Locate the Critique Submission Status section by scrolling down on the Meeting Dashboard and clicking the Critique Submission Status heading, outlined in red below. The Critique Submission Status section contains both a Reviewer View, where you can view critique submission progress per reviewer, and an Application View where you view progress per application. Toggle between the views by clicking the Reviewer View and Application View buttons, outlined in red below right.

Assignments Summary

Meeting Dashboard Assignment Overview Indicators

A summary at the top indicates:

TOTAL ASSIGNMENTS. Total number of critiques assigned across all reviewers. If you add all the numbers in the Total Assignments column, it adds up to this number.

COMPLETED ASSIGNMENTS. Total number of critiques, across all reviewers, that have been submitted. The progress bar shows the number of completed assignments divided by the total assignments.

INCOMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS. The DRAFTS number indicates the scenario where a reviewer opened a critique and started editing it, but never submitted it. The NOT STARTED number indicates the number of assignments where the reviewer has not entered any information into the critique whatsoever.

Critique Submission Columns

The following columns appear in the table on either the Reviewer View or Application View. The only difference is that in Reviewer View the numbers refer to the reviewer, and in Application View the numbers refer to the application.

Total Assignments. Shows the total number of critiques assigned per reviewer (Reviewer View) or per application (Application View).

Submitted Critiques. Shows the total number of critiques submitted per reviewer or per application.

Critiques with Unsubmitted Draft. This number indicates the scenario where a reviewer opened a critique, filled it out, submitted it, and later opened it again and edited it, but never re-submitted the new version. In this case, it is unknown whether the reviewer meant to submit the later version, or if the reviewer deemed the first version as final. You might need to check with reviewers to discuss. To avoid having a critique appear as an unsubmitted draft, the reviewer must either delete the draft or submit it.

Drafts. Indicates the number of critiques per reviewer or per application in which the reviewer opened the critique, edited it, and did not submit it. This is different from the above count in that these drafts have never been submitted.

Not Started. Indicates the number of critiques per reviewer or per application where the critique has not had any data entered whatsoever.

Submission Progress. For Reviewer View, this shows a percentage of critiques completed by a reviewer divided by the total number of critiques assigned to that reviewer. For Application View, this shows a percentage of critiques completed for the given application divided by the total number of critiques assigned for that application. If you download the data in the table to Excel, this progress bar appears as a numeric percent.

Alert For Assignments Not Completed in Read/Edit Phase

Alert status of reviewer in Read Phase

In Reviewer View, if a reviewer has not completed any critiques, resulting in submission progress of 0%, and the phase has progressed past the Submit phase, the reviewer's row appears in red to alert you to the problem (shown above). Similarly, in Application View, if an application has zero submitted critiques while in Read or Edit phases, then the application row appears in red to alert you.

Application View / Reviewer View

The ClosedApplication View Closed(click to view) shows all the same columns and data as the Reviewer View, the difference being that the statistics shown in the table apply to each application instead of to each reviewer. You can also click the folder icon next to the application number to open the Grant Folder for the selected application.
