Preliminary Score Matrix and Streamlining

The Preliminary Score Matrix is used to support the practice of streamlining. Streamlining involves identifying applications with low scores and marking them as lower half. These applications require little, if any, discussion at the review meeting and are marked as Not Discussed after the meeting. Identifying these applications prior to the meeting helps streamline meeting discussions.

SROs use the Preliminary Score Matrix screen to designate the applications as lower half, based on the preliminary overall/impact scores entered by Reviewers. As an SRO, you can access the Preliminary Score Matrix during and after the Submit and Read phases. Refer to the Refer to Designating Lower Half Applications topic for information on using this feature.
