Architecture Branch

The eRA System Architect coordinates strategic architectural planning and implementation for eRA systems, including the functional, data and technical architecture. The System Architect establishes the policies and procedures for the use of technology, creates and approves architectural strategies and standards, and reviews and approves all eRA business plans. The System Architect works closely with Operations to design and improve eRA hardware and software architecture as well as with the eRA Information Systems Security Officer to ensure that proper security mechanisms are in place. The System Architect approves final use-case specifications created by analysts and works with the Program Management Office to ensure that the architecture and business plans match business priorities and resource allocation.
